Playa del Carmen is a small town in Mexico, near Cancun, which used to be a fishing village, but has developed into a modern resort. The town in visited not only by tourists, but also but investors who have speculated the potential of the area, which is why the real estate Playa del Carmen has grown a lot lately. The south of the resort has been invaded by new buildings and private residences that are very often a source of income for the locals. The centre of the resort has developed a lot in the past years, and is also an attraction point, because of its shops and cafes, where people can enjoy the views and peace, while eating traditional food. There are more than 70 restaurants in Playa, for every taste and budget, and also pizza stands and anything you can think about. Since the area is famous for its fishers and various sea life, there is plenty of sea food around, including the traditional tacos, which are said to be amazing.


The waters are full of life, which is very impressive, and for those who are passionate about diving, Playa del Carmen is the perfect place to be. The natural beauties are some of the most valuable treasures of the area, and Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve is one of the main attractions of the region – one of the vastest protected areas in Mexico. It offers its visitors a genuine natural spectacle, with uncommon plants or animals (such as mangrove forests and manatee) and various bird species and is well known for the large number of healthy jaguar population, which unfortunately cannot be seen easily. The place is a hidden treasure, and whether you decide to visit it or to invest in a property here, it is woth it, and you will not regret it for sure!
